Abstract
This project focuses on the development of a Smart Clocking-In System for Employees Using Computer Vision. The primary objective was to design and implement a secure, contactless attendance system that eliminates impersonation and enhances accuracy using facial recognition technology. The system was developed as a web-based application using React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, with Firebase serving as the backend platform. For facial detection and authentication, the system integrates Face-api.js, a JavaScript library powered by TensorFlow.js, and pre-trained AI models capable of real-time face recognition. Additionally, geolocation enforcement was implemented to ensure that users can only clock in within a defined physical location. The system features role-based access with separate dashboards for employees and administrators, real-time attendance tracking, and analytical reporting. The results of the project demonstrate a reliable and innovative solution for organizational time management, with room for future improvement in mobile support, biometric diversity, and system integration.
