Abstract

This study was on investigated the nexus on capital structure and financial performance of Brewery companies in Nigeria. This study also analyzed empirically on the nexus on financial structure ratio (debt ratio), debt to equity ratio, long term debt with that of net profit of the selected Brewery Company in Nigeria. Ex-post facto design of this study. Time-series data covering ten years interval period (2015 - 2024) with emphasis on the specific firm namely; Guinness Nigeria Plc. Of the Nigeria brewery industry based on its size relative to the total size of Nigeria brewery industry in Nigeria. Secondary data collected for this study are on financial statement data of firms and was analysed using OLS which is supported by statistical software E-view version 10.00. There exist a statistically positive on the relation between debt ratio and long term debt and net profit of Nigeria breweries companies. While debt-to- equity ratio has negative and statistically relation with net profit of Nigeria breweries companies. At the end of the study, the conclusion was draw, and some recommendations were provided to various stakeholders. On top of all that, is for company management to determine adequate structure to the composition of the debts and manage and balance the debt- equity as well as using long- term financing appropriately.
