Abstract

This study investigates the impact of multimedia resources on students' achievement in English language in senior secondary schools in Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State. The research aims to: Determine the extent to which multimedia resources influence students' performance in English language exams Examine the impact of multimedia resources on students' attitude towards learning English Investigate the relationship between multimedia resources and students' overall academic achievement Identify the challenges and limitations of using multimedia resources in English language teaching and learning Provide recommendations for effective integration of multimedia resources in English language instruction The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods. The research will involve: A survey of 200 students and 20 English language teachers to gather data on their perceptions and experiences with multimedia resources Observational classes to assess the effectiveness of multimedia resources in teaching and learning English Interviews with teachers to gather in-depth insights into their experiences and challenges in using multimedia resources Analysis of students' performance records to determine the impact of multimedia resources on their academic achievement The study expects to find a positive correlation between the use of multimedia resources and improved English language achievement, as well as a positive impact on students' motivation and engagement in learning English.
