In Nigeria, inefficiency is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed urgently. Some European countries faced this same problem in the 18th and 19th centuries and scholars were able to address the issue of how organizations can increase output and improve efficiency. Most organizations find it difficult to identify the training needs, and even where the need is recognized, a lot of time and money is committed to staff training and development. In pursuit of the objectives, a survey research was carried out in the area and the population used for the study was obtained from Adig Suites, Golden Royale and Nike Lake. Sample size of 80 was determined using Taro Yamane’s statistical formula. Data were collected using questionnaire and thereafter frequency tables and Chi Square statistical tools were used for presentation and analysis respectively. Findings of the study show that training provided in the firms are aligned with business objectives and that training and development of employees' has enhanced performance in hospitality firm. The study concludes that Companies whose investment perspective is on human resource management view training as an opportunity to increase long-term productivity. Investing in training and development is imperative for any organization, which will certainly realize a return on its investment in training and developing its workers. Recommendation from the study states that Education and training of employees’ should be consistently implemented businesses in both vocational and professional skills. It should be concerned with equity and fairness thereby including cost and benefits to a distribution of benefits. It should promote conservation and sustainable use of resources, thereby reducing consumption and waste.
