Abstract

The state of technological environment in any organization has a significant influence on the quality and quantity of production of its goods or services. But despite this, technology is prone to constant change which organizations have to monitor, manage and cope with. The work focuses on management of technological environment for improved organizational performance. The objectives of the study are to ascertain the extent to which the adoption of technology has affected the performance of the organization, to determine the factors that affect the adoption of modern technology in the organization and to highlight the impact of technological innovation in achievement of organizational goals. The study directed to Aqua Rapha Nigeria Limited Enugu, employed the use of survey research design, three research questions were drawn to guide the study. The findings reveal that technological adoption has a significant relationship on organizational performance, among others. Conclusively, in this modern competitive age, the pace of the technological change is very fast. Therefore, in order to survive and grow in the market, organizations have to adopt the technological change from time to time. Hence the decisions made by managers must conform to the demands on technological environment. Based on the findings and the conclusions, the work recommends that managers of organization should improve workers skills through training and development, try to be proactive to introduction of new technology, purchase new machines and equipment and most importantly, they should practice good employment relations.
