Abstract

This study explains employee training on organisational performance in Non-profit organisations. This helps to understand how employees are being influenced by effectiveness, productivity, and the achievement of organisational success in NGOs. A survey research was designed and was also adopted for the study. Structured data were collected through questionnaires to employees of selected NGOs in Enugu state. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The findings revealed that employee training has more benefits in organisational success by motivating employees' skills, knowledge, and also their ideas. This study also showed that more trainings increase service delivery, employees loyalty, and organisational performance. However less funding, limited training opportunities and other challenges are badly affecting training performance in some NGOs. The study concluded that employee training helps organisations, and recommended that NGOs should spend more on employee training programs, for successful organisational performance.
