Abstract

The outbreak of different airborne diseases such as COVID19 has led to the wearing and extensive use of face masks to help control the speed of this diseases from one person to the other. Masks are design in such a way that bacterial, virus and fungal cells can not easily be transmitted from person to person. this study was aimed at determining the microorganisms that could be found on daily used face masks of Godfrey Okoye students. a total of 20 face masks were used for this study, 10 were distributed to male and female students and worn for 24 hours, collection of sample was done using damp swab stick to swab the inner and front part of the face masks.
