Abstract

This paper examined the cost implications of peace accounting on economic growth in Nigeria. The specific objectives were (a) To examine the effect of cost of defence on the gross domestic product of Nigeria and (b) To examine the effect of cost of internal security on the gross domestic product of Nigeria. It utilized time series data from the Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletin for a period of 17 years (1999-2015).
