Abstract

Introduction For its changes of meaning Revolution has been a feature of world history. It appears to make topical and popular news. Journalists, political scientists and historians have of necessity examined this fact for its knowledge value: knowledge because they can draw lessons from it, and necessity since the social cost of consequent conflict and its frequency overwhelm the society. Earlier scholars investigated the psychology,1 anatomy,2 and even the mode of revolution. The present paper will discuss the meaning of this term to show its typology and causation. In other words this inquiry will locus on present definitions, the types, their interpretations and some reflections.
