Abstract

Ideas about justice are ideal in tailoring the life and values of the Christian. The paper is a study of what the Bible says about justice for the poor and needy. It is developed to expose a defect in the practice of religion which reflects a narrow-mindedness that gives primary attention to externals to the neglect of matters at the heart of the relationship with God. As a word that is descriptive of the activity of God for his people, the author develops arguments for the sacramental nature of justice.
