Abstract
Sociology simply means the study of society. However, according to Igbo and Anugwom (2001) "Sociology goes beyond this simple notion to refer to a special branch of the social science which deals with the society as a group, the people who make up the society and their interactions and how consensus and stability are maintained in this society and the social groups or organizations which arise in the in the society"
