Abstract

The Igbo are one people because they speak a number of related dialects and have many features of social structure and culture in common.their territory is the eastern part of mid-western part of delta areas of southern Nigeria. Metuh (1985) gave the geographical location of the igbo speaking people as 'within latitude 5 and 7 North and longitude 6 and East.
