Abstract

The study investigated the reading habits of the elites. It used a survey design which employed 64 respondents from the recent town & gown assembly held at Godfrey OKoye University. The instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire of 22 items which was face validated by staff of the Faculty of Education. Data collected were analyzed using means and percentages. The results revealed that most of the elites don’t read much and they complain of not having time which may actually be attributed to poor attitude to reading. Recommendations were made.
