Abstract
This study assessed the effect of oil revenue on the economic growth of Nigeria using time series data from 1986 to 2014. The main focus is on the relationship between revenues from oil and the performance of the Nigerian economy.The study used secondary data sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria, 2014 statistical bulletin. the main instrument of the data analyses is the OLS econometrics models.
