Abstract

This paper looks at the most effective medium of communication for social change in Nigeria. The paper acknowledges that Africa has the enormous burden of a huge population that is socially and economically challenged. It notes that because modern technology including the new social media is low in penetration, communicators and others engaged in interventions aimed at developing Africa must come up with frameworks and models that can reach the bulk of the people who used and tested in Africa and concludes that community radio like community theatre remains one of the most viable option to address or mitigate these challenges.
