Abstract
Deposit mobilization strategy is a sin-qua-non in banking business. This is because liquidity is globally acknowledged as one of the performance indicators in the business of banking. Liquidity of Nigerian banks have grossly been challenged, in lieu of the fact that deposit strategies of some banks have been challenged- no wonder deposit is said to be as essential in banking industry as breathing is essential to human beings. This study is therefore an expository discourse of deposit mobilization strategies that are indispensable to Nigerian deposit money banks and its associated challenges.
