Abstract
This work is based on an empirical investigation of credit access and entrepreneurial development in Nigeria from 1992-2016, for this purpose, quarterly figures of Real GDP, Interest Rate, Financial Intermediation at Macro Level, and Unemployment were regressed on entrepreneurial development in a frame work of multiple models, Ordinary Least Squares technique of estimation was employed. From the findings, the study established that finance is significant and affects entrepreneurial development positively. The paper therefore recommends that any solution to stimulate the Nigeria economy should include easing SME and entrepreneurship access to finance and also there is need for the formulation of effective policy targeted at entrepreneurship financing and growth, such as saving institutions e.g. Isusu, co-operatives societies etc.
