Abstract
This paper discusses the meaning of leT, the relevance of mathematics to leT, and vice versa. It provides some specific examples of activities and primary mathematics concepts/topics for which leT can support teaching and motivate learning. The paper also reports on the implementation of leT in primary school mathematics in Nigeria. It goes further to suggest some barriers to successful use of leT in primary mathematics.
