Abstract

This paper discusses the causes and implication of the 2008 global stock market crash on the economic growth of Nigeria. Simple multiple Regression model was adopted and the market capitalization was the proxy of the global stock market crash, while capital inflow and foreign exchange rate are the proxy of global stock market crash on the Nigerian stock exchange. The stock market is an organized market where brokers meet to buy and sell stocks and shares.
