Abstract
This paper has attempted to offer explanations that facilitate the understanding of the concept of innovation as a corporate strategy. It identified the general life cycle that characterize innovations in organizations. The study has brought out a clearer understanding of different ways innovations could be promoted and enhanced in a hyper-competitive environment like Nigeria. The paper calls on managers to pull the bull by the horns as they tackle the challenges posed by organizational innovations.
