Abstract

The high incidence of development project failures. poverty and underdevelopment in recent times calls for thorough and sophisticated investigation. This : paper focuses on the impediments that have forestalled genuine efforts at development projects implementation, with poverty and underdevelopment in focus. The work unveils the concepts of development, and .. development projects. and relates them 10 poverty and underdevelopment. The paper concludes that the country will not make any appreciable headway in development efforts without first tackling these impediments especially -the corruption monster.
