Abstract
If the decimal exceeds unity, it is best to change only the decimal part to a common fraction and leave the integral part unchanged. Example ‘1. Change 0.0125 to a common fraction. The last decimal, 5 is in the ten-thousandths place, and so the denominator will be 10,000.
